WA: Student protesters confront Howard again
PERTH, Feb 4 AAP - For the second time in three days, Prime Minister John Howard's
swing through Western Australia has been ambushed by student protesters angry at the federal
government's higher education policy.
On a visit to the Perth suburb of Kenwick to launch the parliamentary campaign of Liberal
candidate Stuart Henry, the PM was greeted by around a dozen student protesters who stood
next to a papier mache caricature of Mr Howard's head.
Bearing banners with slogans such as "Brains not bank balance" …
