FED: Inflation to remain low, little wage pressure: Reith

Federal Employment Minister PETER REITH says inflation is likely to remain low with wage
increases paid for by improved productivity.

Mr REITH has told a conference in Melbourne that the inflexible labour market system is one
of the factors that has supported high inflation in the past.

He says productivity is growing as people use workplace agreements to eliminate inefficient
work practices and redesign old rules.
